Dr. Selen Eçemiş was born on February 8, 1975, in Adana, Turkey. Her academic journey began at the prestigious Tarsus American College, where she completed her secondary education between 1986 and 1993. That same year, she entered Marmara University Faculty of Medicine (English Program), one of Turkey’s leading medical schools.
She graduated in 1999 with top honors, ranking seventh in her class — a reflection of her focus and passion for women’s health from the very beginning.

After completing medical school, Dr. Eçemiş passed the competitive Tıpta Uzmanlık Sınavı (TUS) and began her specialization in Radiology at Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty. Her path soon led her to follow her true passion: obstetrics and gynecology.
She completed her specialty training at Istanbul Göztepe Training and Research Hospital, where her thesis examined:
“The effect of vaginal delivery on bladder neck mobility and stress urinary incontinence evaluated by perineal ultrasonography.”
This early research showcased her interest in pelvic anatomy, imaging, and women’s functional health — knowledge that later strengthened her approach to reproductive medicine.
